The Habit of Rainy Nights Press is a small literary press based in Portland, Oregon. We publish occasionally, as we have the funds, books of fiction, poetry, memoir, and creative non-fiction. Our books are of a literary quality, from emerging writers.
The habit of rainy nights press is an imprint of elohi gadugi, a non-profit organization incorporated in the State of Oregon. The mission of Elohi Gadugi is:
1. to encourage and promote the work of talented new writers and artists who use language as a component of their art,
2. to promote peace, inter-cultural understanding, social justice and ecology by encouraging writers to address these important issues, and
3. to do educational work around the specific issues of importance to the First Nations, indigenous culture, and the preservation of Mother Earth.
